Kyle's squish face

Kyle makes this really funny squish face when he thinks he is being really funny. It took us forever to catch him in action. This one is from before he got his teeth, so now he looks even better when he does it. He sure does make me laugh.

Monkey Jams

Here are a few of what Luke calls "Monkey Jams" along with his favorite frog from Grandma Phillips. I can't believe how big they are getting.

Kyle's funny face

We thought this was a really funny face that Kyle was making. Enjoy!

A few of Kyle walking

Kyle has learned to walk! We tried to get better "action" shots, but he just never performs on command...so here are the best we could get. He gets so proud of himself when he gets to where he is going. It is funny to watch him look for you to smile at him when he has reached his goal. Now, if we could just get brother to stop knocking him over, we should be smooth sailing from now on.

A shout out to Scott

Before I finish the summer pictures, I need to post the best birthday cake ever. Scott, this cake's for you. Connie and I had a great laugh over what can only be described as a "Mr. Poop Cake". Thank you, Target, for creating the ugliest cake I have ever seen.

Time to brag on Kyle

Kyle sure did love the camping, too. He wanted to eat every piece of dirt and stick and rock that he could get his hands on...needless to say, he spent most of his time on the lap of someone. Here are a few of him enjoying the beauty of King's Canyon.

Luke and the River

Luke loved to throw rocks in the river. Aside from hanging with the dog and the "cousins", he would ask to throw rocks in the river every morning, noon, and night. In fact, he still thinks that what we do at any body of water. I am amazed at what can entertain him....for hours on end. I sure do love this boy!

More Kings Canyon

SO- I know it has been like a million months since I started posting Kings Canyon stuff and I am just going to bite the bullet and keep on posting like it hasn't been so long since the last one...So here is one of Luke and my brother-in-law's dog, Rosco. I swear sometimes Luke thinks he is a dog. The whole time camping, he would wake up and want to go say good morning to Rosco. I guess living with our three dogs made him think they were his family, too.

King's Canyon

When we first drove into the canyon, we stopped off to see the General Grant tree, one of the redwood trees. It was HUGE! Luke and I stopped to take a picture by a hollow tree trunk...Luke called it a cave, which was pretty accurate.

Ann's Shirt

This picture is from almost two years ago, but I promised Ann that I would show her that Luke wore this shirt she gave him...We love you, Ann!

Summer Church Outfits

These are some pictures that we took of the boys in their sweet summer church outfits. We have such cute boys!

Summer 2008

It has been a long time since I posted anything...the summer has been busy! We had such a fun time in Florida with the Phillips family. Luke loved the sand, but did NOT want to be near the water. Kyle, however, loved to get his feet wet and chew on the sunscreen bottle.

Happy Birthday Kurt

We thought we would brag a little about Kurt because today is his birthday. He was offered the head coaching job for the boy's soccer team at Taft High School for the coming school year. We are so excited for him and really proud of him. Luke has already learned how to say "Go Raiders!"

Brothers

We thought these were great brother shots. Luke is really interested in Kyle these days. I love Kyle's face when Luke gets close.

Kyle and Mommy

We are so lucky to have to cutest boys. Kyle is getting so big and his personality is really starting to show. He loves being by Luke and watching him play. He gets really frustrated when Luke walks away and he can't roll fast enough to catch up with him. It is sweet to watch the "brothers" interact.

New Family Pictures

When Kurt's parents were here, they took a new family picture for us. They also got some great shots of the boys.

The dogs

I figured that I should put some pictures of the dogs up because they feel like children sometimes. Kurt and I always joke that at least these "kids" we can put in crates. The black lab is Saya, our first adopted dog. She is Luke's favorite, but the most work for me. The white poodle is our second adopted dog named Otis. He is the best tempered and loves everyone and everything. The black poodle is Tank, our first "baby" and the one with the most personality. He thinks he is the little prince. We are glad that we got all the "first" parent mistakes out with the dog...he won't need therapy later. They keep us busy, but we sure do love them.

Kyle's hair

It is so fun to have a baby with hair. Luke didn't get any until he was older, but Kyle has a lot that puffs out.

The boys just hanging out

We caught a few pictures of the boys just hanging out in the teaching room. They are so cute together and Luke really likes to have Kyle copy what he is doing.

Luke and the BIG Elmo

I have this great student that let Luke adopt this Big Elmo because he out grew it. Watching Luke try to cart this stuffed thing that is bigger than he is everywhere is really funny. Here, he is trying to get Elmo is sit on his lap.

Kyle in his chair

We got the coolest chair for Kyle last week called a Bumbo. He gets so excited to sit and watch Luke play instead of laying on the floor. It makes him seem so big!

Asleep at Dinner

This is what happens when Luke decides not to take a nap...He fell asleep right into his dinner plate. He is still cute, though.

Kyle and his bear

We took the cutest pictures of Kyle with his christmas bear that he loves to hug. He is getting so big we think he might pass up Luke soon.

Christmas

I thought I would share some pictures from our Christmas trip to Willard to see the Jarvis fam. There are also some of the "chirstmas" we had here in Texas before we left. Luke was on present overload for weeks after this.
